[The Hub] Add Defender “issues” to expanded Site view

0

When viewing sites in Updates expanded view, it would be useful to see any Defender “issues” as well as plugin/core/theme updates… IMO

    Hello Mike

The purpose of the Updates page is to simply show the list of pending plugins or themes that can be updated.

Since Defender Pro can find multiple issues on a site, and each one may be as simple as a vulnerable plugin, or as complex as suspicious code, it can be difficult to display it on The Hub.

In the main Hub page, you can see in which sites, Defender Pro has detected an issue that requires your attention:

Clicking it will lead you to the Security page of that site where you can get more information, including an access to the site’s Defender Pro plugin page where you can take action of these issues. I suggest you to try it and let us know if it covers your needs.

    Kind regards,
    Jair.

i understand/know that – it would be a nice feature to simply show if there are any issues in the same format as the name then the amount: (Issues 5, Issues 0), not showing the actual issues – that would be too much.

    Hi Mike ,

Maybe I’m missing; however, the existing Hub section where the sites are already listed does highlight this.

If there are no issues, the color for the Defender icon would be green, and when it’s red in color it would mean there are issues.

Doesn’t the above help in determining the issues in Defender?

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Mike

    Thank you for the information.

I understand what you are requesting.

Defender issues may vary depending on the picked Defender settings. It wouldn’t make much sense to mix for instance, non-core files / folder report inside the update as the goal on updates is to have an easy way to update all the plugins.

However, I agree we could highlight the public vulnerability related information, for instance, if specific plugin is reported in Defender > Issues should also be reported in HUB.

I’ve forwarded this suggestion to our HUB team.

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas
